Technology Analyzing Muscle "Stress"!

Computerized Surface Electro-Myography, otherwise known as the "Myovision", is used to check for imbalances in the spine.

MyoVISION

The benefits of this test are that it compares your muscle tension to “normal / healthy” muscle tension. It is painless and quick, taking approximately 3 -5 minutes to complete. And most importantly, it helps us determine what further evaluations or tests may or may not be necessary! Discover how you "measure up" to normal! You'll get to take a copy of your neck and back "picture" home with you! The MyoVision is the absolute latest and most high-tech tool available in chiropractic spinal analysis.

Here are some frequently asked questions about our latest addition of technology to our chiropractic field called MYOVISION.

What is MyoVISION?

MYOVISION does a spinal examination using sEMG (Surface Electromyography) to evaluate the relative levels of electrical activity associated with Spinal Injuries. By using this latest technology we can receive the most accurate information on the condition of your body to better help your needs.

What is sEMG?

sEMG is an acronym for Surface Electromyography. sEMG is a device which measures the amount of electrical activity your muscles release when they are contracting, more commonly known as muscle tension. It is similar in function to an EKG which measures heart muscle activity.

Is it Painful?

Not at all. The procedure is totally non-invasive and does not cause irritation or pain. Because of this it is safe to use on infants, children, seniors, and pregnant women. The examination requires only the placement of small probes against the skin and only takes a few minutes to complete.

How Does This Relate to Chiropractic Care?

Spinal Injuries reduce your body's ability to maintain optimal health. When Spinal Injuries are present, the nervous system is negatively affected resulting in increases or decreases in muscle activity. The sEMG shows the muscular component of Spinal Injuries. Dr. Kiefat’s job is to detect and correct these Spinal Injuries by doing 'adjustments' on your body to keep everything aligned.
